6th Annual Conference of State Nursing Workforce Centers

 

 

This national conference for leaders, stakeholders and partners of state-based nursing workforce centers focuses on measures to address nursing workforce solutions at the grass roots level. Whether you are from a nursing workforce center or a stakeholder involved in nursing workforce efforts, the conference will enhance your ability to start and/or sustain your important work in setting strategy and policy, as well as, to develop evidenced based solutions for nursing workforce challenges. The sixth in a series of annual conferences, this symposium will help build our capacity to retain a 21st century nursing workforce that is adequate in numbers and prepared for the complexities of current and future practice. The specific purpose and objectives are as follows:

Purpose

The purpose of this conference is to highlight evidence strategies, innovations and promising practices in the retention of nurses within the profession and the workplace with a central focus on identified high risk groups including new graduates, frontline managers and older, experienced nurses.

Objectives

1. Provide perspective, data and evidence about factors influencing retention of nurses, especially those within identified high risk populations including new entrants into the profession, frontline managers and older, experienced nurses.

2. Provide information, promising practices and models which spark innovation and guide strategy in retention efforts.

3. Provide information that is relevant and applicable for state based nursing
